Messiah Review

A good review - the part about us below:

Conducting from the harpsichord, Wedow made this an intimate affair. He kept the 75-voice ASO Chorus as clear as possible, a soft focus propelling their quick scale patterns, reserve power drawn at will. “For unto us a Child is born” and “All we like sheep have gone astray” were beautifully shaped. The “Amen” unfolded with gentle restraint before building to a majestic conclusion.

-----

Most notable about the performance was the consistent blend, over which Wedow had masterful control. It came through best in the “Hallelujah” Chorus and “Amen,” both of which combined energy and clarity without raising the roof.

I felt led to give a comment in the review - I wanted to highlight your talent in this performance with only two regular rehearsals.

Enjoy your break!
